Now what?

Maybe you, like thousands of others, got engaged during the holidays. Now that the excitement has waned, the panic is starting to settle into your mind as you peruse the various wedding planning sites and social media platforms. So much to do with very little time, so it seems. But you have plenty of time. I have been planning weddings for 23 years. One bride gave me three weeks to plan her wedding. That was a little daunting, but we worked feverishly together, and she had a beautiful day. The trick to wedding planning is to set boundaries. That seems a little odd. But boundaries are a good thing. Without boundaries, we can sometimes get off track. Boundaries in wedding planning surmise to budget. I know it doesn't sound sexy to have a budget, but if you set a realistic budget for your wedding, everything will fall into place beautifully. The average cost for a wedding in the United States is between $29K-$31K. Did you know that 50% of couples go over their initial budget when planning their wedding?

So, where to start? In the next couple of weeks, I will share some tips on how to save money on your wedding and guide you through the planning process. Check the blog often, and let's be creative about wedding planning.

Congratulations on your engagement. Enjoy the process. Take care of yourself, and remember to breathe. You're engaged!
