It's hard to believe but Summer is almost to a close and Fall is just around the corner. Dahlonega provides host to many many weddings in North Georgia and why wouldn't it. Dahlonega is the perfect backdrop for a wedding anytime but the Fall provides the perfect backdrop with its colorful palette of Autumn colored leaves and all the activities.

Trail Fest

This weekend, September 6-8th, grab your gear and head for the hills, it's time for Dahlonega's Annual Trail Fest! Presented by Yahoola Creek Outdoors, Trail Fest invites all outdoor enthusiasts to gather in Dahlonega's Historic Square for live music, an outdoor-centric vendors market, interactive workshops, speakers, food, and more. This festival is free and open to the public. Rain or shine, it's Trail Fest time! Six Gap Century

Fasten your helmets, it's time to ride to Dahlonega. This September 28th- 29th, cyclists from all over will pedal to our mountain town for a weekend of races and rides throughout the North Georgia mountains. On Saturday, September 28th head to the square for Dahlonega's Gold Criterium, a spectator-friendly race around the city's center. Cheer as riders of all ages fly by, explore the Bike Expo, and sip a cold brew, or two, at the brand new Beer Garden. Race registration fees start at just $15 for juniors and $30 for adults. Looking for a bit more of a challenge? Then sign up for the Six Gap Century, one of the southeast's most challenging rides. A true test for seasoned cyclists, the Six Gap Century boasts six of the steepest paths in the North Georgia mountains. For those riders who aren't ready to commit to all six gaps - participants now have the option to sign up for the Three Gap Fifty, a trail offering half the gaps and half the distance. Up for the challenge? Register from now until September 22nd for just $76. Escape Blood Mountain This weekend, September 6-8th, put your brain power to the test at the Gold Museum's exclusive, new attraction, the Blood Mountain Escape Room. For just $5, visitors can work together in a race against time to solve a series of increasingly challenging puzzles. The escape room will be open Friday from 2-4pm, Saturday from 12-4pm, and Sunday from 1-4pm. Be prepared to have your wits tested when you venture to the Gold Museum's Blood Mountain Escape Room this weekend. Have a Ball at UNG What's fall without a little futbol? This season, cheer on the University of North Georgia Nighthawks on the soccer field. Both the mens' and women's soccer teams have kicked off their seasons, with games starting this week. Fun for the while family, UNG soccer games are the perfect place to make memories as the leaves begin to change. So raise your voices and grab your Nighthawks gear, it's time to cheer on the University of North Georgia's soccer teams.
