What's included at Waters Mill?
All packages include use of all tables and chairs available at Waters Mill. We have approximately (17) 60 inch round tables, (4) 6ft and 8 ft rectangular tables, (119) White Samsonite Chairs for inside use and (200) White Garden Chairs. You have use of the extensive catering kitchen, groom's cabin and bride's suite. We have 2 bars (1 inside with back cooler and 1 outside) You may have 1 hour complimentary for the rehearsal if available at no additional charge.
Do you have linens to rent?
Yes, we have approximately (20) white 120 round tablecloths which fit perfectly for the round tables. (10) Royal Blue round tablecloths (7) Black round tablecloths and we have a couple of specialty linens for the wedding cake.
Do you have linens for the buffet?
We will provide the bottom pleated skirting for (2) of the buffet tables. You will need the top linen for the buffet.
Do you provide an attendant for the day of wedding?
We will provide someone on staff to open the door, turn on heat/air conditioning and answer questions.
What is the capacity for Waters Mill?
Inside seating will comfortably accommodate 100 guests seated using (10) of the round tables and leaving a huge dance floor in the center with plenty of room for the cake table, dj table and buffet table. An additional 70 guests can be seated on the front porch.
Does Waters Mill provide a Vendor's List?
We do provide a preferred vendor's list to our booked clients. However, you are not required to utilize those vendors.
Can I bring in my own food?
Is alcohol allowed?
Waters Mill is a BYOB facility. Waters Mill is not responsible for alcohol in any way. No one under 21 years of age may partake of alcohol.
Can we do our rehearsal at Waters Mill?
Yes, we will give you 1 hour of complimentary time for a rehearsal. Please understand this is on a first come first serve basis and 1 hr is for the total time on property. Food or Drinks are not allowed during this time. The facility will be clean and ready for your event for the next day.
Do we need to clean up after our event?
Yes, we ask that all garbage be removed and placed in the trash receptacles in the designated trash area at Waters Mill. Please remove all your belongings the same day and return all Waters Mill furnishings (inside and out) back to their original placings. If the kitchen was used, please remove all garbage, wipe any spills, wipe down counters, and sweep kitchen floors. If any of Waters Mill items were used, they need to be washed, dried and place back in their original placings. When leaving, please lower the Heat/ Air conditioning to 55 degrees, turn off all lights (inside and out) and lock all doors.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have a free form gravel parking lot. The upper parking area will accommodate approximately 80 guests, the second level approximately 20 guests and the grassy areas will accommodate 50 guests. Please do not park on the grass near the facility.
Is there lodging nearby?
Yes! Please contact the Dahlonega-Lumpkin Chamber for recommendations.
Are candles allowed?
We prefer the flameless battery candles but you can use others as long as they are in a complete candle holder and cause no damage.
Are sparklers allowed?
Yes, but please make sure all guests are off the front porch when the sparklers are lit. No one can be on the steps when the sparkler is lit. We recommend using the 30 inch sparklers. Please be sure to clean up all used and unused sparklers at the end of the evening.
Can we use flower petals?
Yes, but only the real petals. NO SILK PETALS, FEATHERS,CONFETTI, BEADS, SILLY STRING, BIRDSEED ARE ALLOWED!
Can I hang decorations on the wall?
No. Command Hooks leave a greasy mark on the paint on the walls. If you want fabric draping, we can refer you to companies.
Does Waters Mill supply cleaning supplies?
We will supply 3 garbage bags for all "trash cans",2 rolls of paper towels, toilet tissue, hand towels for bathrooms, soap, dish soap, sponge, and cleaning supplies. Broom, dust pan and mop can be located in the kitchen.
Can we come earlier than 10am?
Yes, you can rent additional time for $150 an hour.
Can we use Waters Mill fire pit?
Yes, just bring the wood, start the fire and you are good to go. Please make sure the fire is extinguished at the end of the event.
How do I book Waters Mill?
We want everything to be easy for you at Waters Mill. To book a wedding, we require a $500.00 non-refundable retainer to reserve your date. The balance will be due 3 weeks prior to your event. All other events, the total amount of the event is due at the time of booking. We have everything set up in order that you can book online. Go to watersmill.com/services and follow the directions.
