Does Waters Mill provide wedding direction?
Our in-house Event Manager will work with you on your overall reception planning three months before your event. You will then work with our Wedding Director to plan important details of your ceremony, and establish the flow of your ceremony and reception, three weeks before your wedding.
Basic wedding direction includes approximately 10 hours of work with your Wedding Director. This time includes your one hour rehearsal and guidance during the day of your event. Please call our office to get a handout of the specific details of our wedding direction services and any additional services that you may be interested in
How much time do we have for our rehearsal and when is it usually scheduled?
Each bride and groom is given one hour of rehearsal time which is typically scheduled the day before the wedding. If for some reason the rehearsal cannot be held the day before the wedding, it may be scheduled for another time that is convenient for the bride and groom as well as Waters Mill. Waters Mill would love to host your rehearsal dinner, please call us for details.
Will I be provided with an itinerary for my wedding day?
Yes you will. You will meet with our wedding director 3 weeks prior to your wedding date to customize your wedding day itinerary.
Would it be possible to come early to do our hair and make-up?
Yes….the bride and her bridesmaids may gather in the bridal suite for hair and make-up before the ceremony. We ask that you book this time with our event manager in order to secure the time needed for the house.
If I have an outdoor ceremony, what if it rains?
Waters Mill was designed so that, in case of inclement weather ,a covered walkway can be attached to a tented ceremony site, protecting your guests from the weather. Please let our event manager know if you would like to have a tent and canopy available as a back up plan for your wedding. Rain or shine you will have a beautiful wedding at Waters Mill.
Can we set up a separate time to come take pictures?
If you have an event booked at Waters Mill, you can rent the facility by the hour prior to your event. Please let our event manager know if you would like to reserve an additional day for pictures. If you do not have an event booked at Waters Mill, please contact our event manager for rental prices and to reserve a date and time for your pictures.
Will tables and linens be provided for my event, or do I have to rent them?
Yes, Waters Mill does provide tables and white floor length linens. Alternate and additional linens and/or chair covers are available upon request.
How many guests can Waters Mill accommodate?
Waters Mill can comfortably accommodate approximately 200-225 people. If you choose to have a tent outside, we can accommodate up to 600 guests.
Does Waters Mill host any events other than weddings?
The staff at Waters Mill wants to host your next event! Weddings, bar mitzvahs, bridal luncheons, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, tea parties, bridal showers, baby showers, corporate events, retirement parties, holiday parties, new year’s eve celebrations, charity functions, anniversary parties… whatever you’re planning.
